Old-Time Human Statue
18,000 men. In fact, 18,000 soliders.
There’s no date on this, but it seems likely from the uniforms that it’s from sometime before WWII. Possibly WWI. I’m sure others can get a better fix on this than I. It took place at Camp Dodge in Iowa.
However, it’s just amazing to see 18,000 people doing any one thing at the same time. And, the patriotic spirit of the image is undeniable.
