A Very Thermite Thanksgiving
On many levels, this is completely stupid. But it’s still fun to watch.
How about a Thanksgiving turkey cooked in…oh…30 seconds or so?
Be sure to keep watching at least until the turkey leaves the tabletop.

Formerly, the Sun was the largest object in the Solar System. Now, comet 17P/Holmes holds that distinction.
Spectacular outbursting comet 17P/Holmes exploded in size and brightness on October 24. It continues to expand and is now the largest single object in the Solar system, being bigger than the Sun.
The orbit period of comet Holmes is about 6 years, putting it in the class of Jupiter Family Comets whose orbits are strongly influenced by Jupiter. These objects are thought to have spent most of the last 4.5 billion years orbiting the Sun beyond Neptune, in a region known as the Kuiper Belt. Holmes probably was deflected into its present orbit within the last few thousand years and is losing mass as it evaporates in the heat of the Sun. In another few thousand years it is likely either to hit the Sun or a planet, be ejected from the Solar system, or simply die by running out of gas.
Fans of Heroes and Star Trek are already aware that the actor that plays Sylar (Zachary Quinto) is playing Spock in JJ Abrams’ new Star Trek movie.
But here’s your first chance to see what he looks like in makeup. Yeah, it’s thru a telephoto lens and has a watermark. But you can still see it pretty well. Looks pretty good, too.

An Indonesian fisherman who feared that he would be killed by tree-like growths covering his body has been given hope of recovery by an American doctor - and Vitamin A.
Dede, now 35, baffled medical experts when warty “roots” began growing out of his arms and feet after he cut his knee in a teenage accident. The virus was therefore able to “hijack the cellular machinery of his skin cells”, ordering them to produce massive amounts of the substance that caused the tree-like growths known as “cutaneous horns” on his hands and feet.
It’s unfortunate that more info isn’t available about this artist.
It would be great to see more of his work, and to learn more about his technique (i.e., is there adhesive involved, etc).
This appear to be in commemoration of a 50th anniversary…possibly of something Japanese or Chinese.

In Norfolk VA., I arrived at my local distributor when I noticed a man taking a picture of his passenger side window.
When I went to see what he was looking at, I was astounded to see the dusty imprint of a bird that flew into the window.
I never would have believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes. So, I took some pictures and decided to submit them for your enjoyment.
An impressive series of photographs, wherein a roadway becomes a river.
How long do you suppose this took. Minutes? Hours?
And what comes next…road repair, or a bridge?
You don’t have to be a fantasy/sci-fi freak to appreciate the skill and artistry here.
